What’s Next for the Farm?
1. Lavender Fields & Labyrinth Creation
I am gearing up to plant our lavender fields next spring! This project includes building a beautiful double spiral labyrinth within the lavender fields—perfect for peaceful walks and meditation. The fields will also supply lavender for new, handcrafted items in our shop, such as lavender whisk brooms and incense sticks.
2. Goats & Sheep
The farm will be among the first American farms to implement a new grazing technology called NoFence. This is a major leap forward in livestock management that enables me to manage rotational grazing almost on my own. This means that I can have the goats on chew crews or at home. It also means that I can add Finnsheep this autumn and manage their pastures without the need to move or maintain or repair fence. It will all be done from my phone!
3. Teach na Lugh Greenhouse
(pronounced Chock na Loo) A Solviva-inspired year-round greenhouse is in the planning phase. It will support both crop production and poultry, ensuring fresh greens and eggs even in the winter months.
4. Farm Events & Workshops
From street art fairs to seasonal celebrations, I plan to host a variety of community-centered events. Upcoming workshops will focus on rocket mass heater construction, natural building techniques, and permaculture design. Stay tuned for more details!
5. Sacred Space by the Pond
A small dock with an arbor, along with a garden and tiny house conversion, will transform the area around our pond into a sacred space for chanting, yoga, and reflective gatherings. This is a longer-term project I am incredibly excited about, and I hope to make it a community effort.
6. Artist Residencies & Community Art Installations
I want to bring creativity to every corner of the farm! The trails will be home to interactive and natural art installations, with opportunities for artists to join us in residence and contribute their visions.
